- Lay the towel flat and smooth it once with your hand.
- Bring one edge over to meet the other.
- Fold it again and set it on the stack.
A crooked fold is still a folded towel. Finishing the pile was never the point — the rhythm was.
What to have ready
- Six to eight warm towels straight out of the dryer
- A flat surface at elbow height
- One chair beside them, not across from them
- Somewhere for the finished stack to go
